As at 21 January, 2021:

Fausto has oxygen to the blood only – he is on a machine for oxygen, being coma induced and brought out to awaken from time to time. Not ideal, we do hope for him to recover as it’s a tough time for family, friends and team mates.

As at 20 January, 2021:

Fausto Gresini still requires mechanical ventilation for lung capacity to breathe. He has completed physiotherapy well and is responding well to FaceTime contact with family.

The conditions of Fausto Gresini who was transported to the Carlo Alberto Pizzardi Hospital in Bologna on December 30th are slightly improving.

During the last few hours of January 1st, 2021 in the light of stable and improving conditions the doctors decided to begin a slow awakening process to allow independent lung ventilation.
